California Responsible Beverage Service Training Online
Promoting responsible sales and service of alcohol since 2001
For Alcohol Sellers, Servers, Bartenders and Managers who desire to make a difference in our society by keeping drunk drivers off our roads and putting an end to underage drinking.
Presented to you by Len Riggs
RBS training is for anyone selling alcoholic beverages in a store or serving drinks in a bar or restaurant. Bartenders, waiters, and their managers who are RBS certified are more successful in stopping underage drinking and in recognizing the signs of intoxication.
There is a new law in California. The Assembly Bill 1221 which created the Responsible Beverage Service Training Act.
Beginning July 1, 2022 any alcohol server and their manager must have a valid RBS certification from an ABC accredited RBS training provider and pass an ABC administered RBS exam within 60 calendar days from the first date of employment.
We are an accredited Provider to teach the course which supports RBS training.
The new process for becoming certified in California for RBS is as follows…

(Note: You will still have to take the final exam in the RBS Portal within 30 days of course completion to become certified.)
Our online course focuses on techniques to recognize signs of intoxication and how to intervene. The training covers underage drinking, ID checking, and all required topics. RBS training is a community-based approach to promote public safety and to reduce risks associated with the retail alcohol environment. RBS has three essential elements: the adoption of alcohol-service policy for ABC-licensed establishments; the providing of server education and guidance; and the development of partnerships between law enforcement, local government and community groups. It is critical that owners and managers ensure alcohol is served responsibly in their establishments.
